Having cleared UPSC Civil Services Mains myself, I know the journey you are on. The early mornings, the endless syllabi, the moments of doubt. I want to tell you something that no coaching center will: your character matters more than your marks.
The examination tests knowledge, yes. But civil service tests character. It tests whether you can remain honest when corruption is easy. Whether you can serve the weak when the powerful are watching. Whether you can maintain your humanity in a system that often dehumanizes.
Prepare hard for the exam—there is no substitute for that. But also prepare your soul for service. Read widely, not just the syllabus. Engage with people different from you. Understand the problems you will be solving not from textbooks, but from lived experience.
Through Talent Academy and my books, I have helped thousands navigate this journey. But the most important preparation happens within you. Cultivate integrity. Develop empathy. Build resilience. These are the qualities that will define your service, long after the exam is forgotten.
